I'm a travel/food writer and photographer who discovered a passion for exploring the world ‒ and sampling its foods ‒ as a teenager and have gone on to travel, as of October 2025, in 134 countries (which means I still have a lot of road to travel with nearly 60 countries to visit).
 
My travels have taken many paths: numerous solo, independent adventures, crossing lands and traversing continents by buses, boats, trucks and off-road vehicles, from tourist Meccas to remote corners of the world; a wide range of freelance and magazine assignments; public relations work; studying and living in several countries, and an array of delicious sojourns and escapes with family and friends.
 
Over more than five decades, I've penned articles for scores of newspapers, magazines and websites. And I have a huge library of images available for sale from nearly 90 countries.
